When I first started School Postcards I thought carefully about what job title to put on my business cards. I considered ‘Graphic Designer’, ‘Design Consultant’ or ‘School Design Specialist’. However I didn’t feel that these really encapsulated what it is that School Postcards does and the affect that this has on the schools I work with.
I looked through some of the comments and testimonials I have received from headteachers for Inspiration. I wanted my job title to connote what my clients think about their experience of working with me. More than once I have been referred to as a catalyst; “Kathryn was a real catalyst for us.” As everything I do centres around creativity then my new job title was born -‘Creative Catalyst’.
I chose ‘Creative Catalyst’ as it is not just about creating fun, colourful, inspiring graphics for the school – but about starting off a process that has a big impact on the school. I aim to enhance the children’s experience of school, which motivates them to want to learn and explore new ideas. I want to spark children’s imaginations to dream and explore what is possible and get the most out of their school journey.
If you would think your school will benefit from the ‘creative catalyst’ experience, then give us a call on 01924 387684 to find out more.
