Schools team together to save money

We designed a range of eye-catching praise postcards for Ossett Academy in the school's brand colours of yellow and purple

Three local schools teamed up and ordered their postcards together. They are all members of the same buying trust and regularly share resources between the schools. The original school that approached us is a very small primary school with an intake of around 11 pupils per year. When the Headteacher told us they were a member of EOCT, we suggested that they approach the other schools in the buying trust to see if they would also benefit from having some bespoke postcards created for their schools at the same time. This would ultimately save each school money by purchasing in this way as the more items you print together the cheaper they each become.

Two Primary Schools  – Towngate Primary School and Flushdyke Junior and Infant School and a Secondary School – Ossett Academy and Sixth Form College all wanted bespoke postcards creating. School Postcards spoke with all three Headteachers to find out the aims and needs of each individual school and then designed all eleven different postcards at the same time and printed these together. We printed different quantities of the same design as per each school’s requirements.

They have proved a big hit with all the schools involved – particularly for the secondary school which is currently thinking about ordering some more postcards for other departments.

the bespoke postcards included our popular "you're a star" postcard and medal postcard design
We designed bespoke postcards in each school's brand colours. This included stars, medals, sports and performing arts designs

“Definitely would recommend School Postcards and the postcards to other schools. Service and design have been really good and communication with yourself has been excellent.
… Very positive [impact on the school], the idea of the postcard as a recognition of achievement has added another dimension to our rewards
… the benefits from grouping orders together can be a massive cost cutting exercise which allows schools to invest in this type of reward more easily”.
